The design of the station is quite impressive. The south central shed and frontage building reveals the beautiful Edwardian Baroque style. The materials used are the red brick and the Postland stone. The section was designed bySir Charles Morgan. It has a longitudinal ridge and furrow roof. The designer also made the extension and new frontage to the station hotel
The South east shed, also built from Portland stone, was designed by Sir John Fowler, consultant engineer to the Victoria station and Pimlico Railway Company. The Grosvenor Hotel was designed by J. T. Knowles in Italianate style with a French Renaissance roof.
