• Begin your romantic journey with a walk in the stunning Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew (18 Station Parade, TW9 3PZ). It covers an immense area of green spaces and, what’s even more attractive, is that it features the world’s largest assortment of living plants. It also offers you the chance to climb one of the mature trees in the garden. The entrance is £13.90. It’s an ideal place to go for a walk during both summer and winter so give it a try. • Chocolate is lovers’ delight. And if you want to add something sweet to your romantic evening, then you must try the William Curley Chocolate Workshops (198 Ebury St, SW1W 8UN). This interesting workshop will teach you how to make chocolate curls and truffles and, of course, will allow you to eat them at the end. The only aspect that might scare you a bit is the price, £75 per adult. Bear in mind that the workshops are only held in weekends.

• After you have tried all the guilty pleasures above, you can stop by a charming restaurant and have dinner. The restaurant is called L’Auberge and it is going to transfer you into a lovely French atmosphere. It is a family-run bistro and it features all the classic dishes including veal, frog legs, boeuf borguignon, d’escargot and foie gras. Also, don’t miss the puddings, as the chef used to be a patisserie. A tip we’ll give you is the delicious crème brulee with a lavender and honey twist. It’s well worth trying something different than the usual pizzas and burgers. The eatery is located at SW15 2RX, 22 Richmond Road and it is opened from 7pm until late in the night. A main dish will cost you between £14 and £17.5.

• You can have a drink at L’Auberge, but if you want to change the décor and the atmosphere a little bit, then you can go to The Fifth Floor Bar (109-125 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7RJ). This is an elegant bar with vintage decorations and furniture and a large variety of cocktails and champagnes. There is also a tasting menu, including shallot vinegar, chorizo and oysters. The bar is opened usually from 10am (12 am on Sundays) to 11pm, 12am, 1am or 6pm, depending on the day. A bottle of wine will cost you somewhere around £22.

From L’Auberge to The Fifth Floor Bar, you can take a minicab and pay £15 (£3.75 per person with 4 passengers in the car). The transfer lasts 25 minutes.
