The constructor of the station was Taylor Woodrow Construction and the design was signed by Richard Seifert & Partners and BR’s architects. The complex was built in 2 phases. The modern and innovative station is a low and long structure and its frontage measures 197 metres. The offices in the towers were reserved for Network Rail, Railtrack and British Rail. These structures are made of exposed concrete, white tiles, polished dark stone and plain glazing. The current Euston Station features a large concourse with food outlets and shops. The only remnants from the original station are Robert Stephenson’s statue, a war memorial and 2 Portland stone entrance lodges.
