Located on a vast estate which spreads on more than 15,000 acres the Belvoir Castle is located on a hill encircled by dense forests and beautiful landscapes. This is in fact the fourth building constructed on the site, as the initial castle was burnt to ground.
During your tour to Belvoir Castle you will have the possibility to stroll among a numerous art pieces such as paintings by Reynolds, Holbein and Poussin or Gainsborough. The castle is home to maginicent collections of porcelain, tapestries, furniture and Italian sculpture. Wonderful examples of sculpture can also be noticed outside, in the Rose and Statue Gardens, wonderfully laid out round a central fountain.
The name Belvoir means “beautiful view” in French and has been the ancestral home of the Manner’s Family for more than 500 years.
