Best Pubs/Clubs in East London
Because East London is known as one of the most densely populated regions in London, it is a fact that the cultural mixture is very consistent. Therefore, the activities offered here are diverse and you will surely not get bored. You will be amazed by how a night club can become an artistic location. Most of the pubs and clubs from East London are located in Shoreditch, the best place to see and be seen and also a location that was always populated by artists.
Therefore, East London’s nightlife can be characterized as crazy and vibrant, but classy and fashionable at the same time.
Below you can find some of the best night clubs in the E postcode area:
Bells of Shoreditch, E2
If you are a classic R&B fan you would probably don’t want to miss a night out in About time, Bells of Shoreditch club, in East London. The place is hidden under the arches of a railway bridge and it is often used for private parties because it can be exclusively hired. If you are curious about the location, here are a few hints: the brickwork arches, whilst cavernous, will create a perfect intimate environment. Also, you might be lucky and be there at a themed party when the bat opens up for cheap drink specials and themed cocktails all night.
Dalston Superstore, E8
East London is also the place where you can find one of the greatest vintage clubs in the city. The doors of the pub, located on Kingsland High Street are opened with a free entrance until midnight. After that, you will have to pay £5 for the ticket. Dalston Superstore is a beautiful vintage building with two floors. Upstairs there is the pub with the interior clad in cement, brick and steel and with its delicious sandwiches, burgers and bottled beers. Downstairs you will see the dance floor with good music and low lights.
Silicon Drinkabout, E1
Silicon Drinkabout is a meeting that takes place every Friday evening around 6-7PM, and the venue differs every time. It was established by Mind Candy, an entertainment company and it is now run by 3beards, a content, promotion and events company. It is a party without a DJ. The location is usually populated mostly by men (however everyone can self-invite themselves), with the main purpose to shake hands with other open-minded people, relax and have fun after a busy week, not to dance.
Passing Clouds, E8
Passing Clouds Club is located on Richmond Road. You got to pay only £5 before 10PM and £8 after, so you can get the chance to take part of a unique cultural project that has the purpose to highlight the unity between people. The music played is diverse, from afro jazz funk to soul-reggae and the interior will definitely surprise you: Chinese lanterns, a real palm tree on one of the corners and a banner that says “Down with debt”.
