The structure also features Bath stone windows. The former site of the Wesleyan Church is also a must see. The designer of this non – conformist church was Josiah Gunton. The building was situated between Wellmeadow Road and Hither Green Lane and was constructed in 1900. It could accommodate almost 700 people and included a pinnacle tower, multiple galleries, an organ chamber, chancel, a transept, 2 aisles and a nave. A bombing that took place in 1940 destroyed most of the church. Not long ago, the church was replaced with a flat building.
