The Church of St Laurence has been remodelled and renovated numerous times throughout the years. Unfortunately, all these restorations have destroyed numerous ancient decorations. However, you can still see historical features like the Italian image of the Holy Spirit, Son and God Father dating from the 13th century.
The church building was supposed to be demolished in the 19th century, but a local farmer secured the tower and outside walls and saved the ancient structure. As a result, it was finally restored in the mid – 19th century and reopened in 1851.
