The original station was located on Drummond Street, an address situated further than Euston Road and the present station. The arch and Euston Square were linked through the Euston Grove, a short road flanked by Victoria Hotel and Euston Hotel. In the late 19th century, the administration added 2 more platforms, featuring new entrances and service roads. Other 4 platforms were introduced in the 1890s and the total number of platforms was 15.
