Transfer from Stansted Airport to Brighton
Brighton is in continuous development, rising confidently from one year to the other. A new state of the art library was built in the Cultural Center found in North Lane and construction of new hotels is planned to begin in the near future. The close by Hove prepares to delight its guests with a beach palace, a unique type of building that is believed that will be able to house two fields of Olympic sizes as well as a complex designed by Frank Gehry, with two futuristic towers in the center.
Another attraction is the Brighton’s dam, built after the collapse of the West Pier. The West Pier was closed in 1975, when he began to sink into the sea. The dam was on fire twice in 2002, and now only a wooden structure remains floating on the sea. But the City of Brigton has big plans for the place where once the West Pier stood. The architects who designed London’s famous London Eye Wheel will build the tower named Brighton 360i, a structure of 176 meters high, where you can admire the whole panorama of the city.
In the vicinity of the dam you will find the Marina Center, the oldest aquarium in the world, hosting over 150 different species of fish. Also, here is a transparent glass tunnel where you can admire the fish that swim above you.
Walking inside the town you can enjoy shopping in the area called North Lane. Here you will find many boutiques merchandise as unique as the design of the shop that houses them. You can also have lunch or coffee at one of the many terraces in North Lane. Do not forget to try local candy called “Brighton Rock”!
